Most people visiting the Sin City, i.e. Las Vegas talk about the luxury hotels/resorts, casinos, epic nightlife, fine dining, the Strip, and museums. However, when I’m visiting someplace new, the first thing I want to explore is the local coffee scene – it was no different in Vegas.
I need a nice place to relax and get my caffeine fix multiple times a day, so I visited all the coffee shops that spoke to me (one way or another). I had no trouble locating these hidden gems, thanks to all the Cox Las Vegas hotspots I can access for free; it truly pays off being a customer of a reliable internet provider like Cox.
Needless to say, I enjoyed a wonderful variety of coffee drinks during my Vegas trip, and I must add that their coffee scene is rather underrated. If you’re a coffee connoisseur like myself, this city that never sleeps is a terrific place to treat your taste buds.
After careful consideration, I present my top ten picks from all the coffee shops I visited in Las Vegas:
1. Bungalow Coffee Co
It’s not very often that I come by a giant coffee shop that serves exquisite coffee. I’m more of a hole-in-the-wall cozy coffee shop fanatic, but this one was an exception. I ordered one of their specialty drinks called “Cold Fashioned” which was a concentrated cold brew giving hints of citrus and maple – delish!
Their food also looked amazing, so I got a Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap and it was the best decision ever.
2. Aspire Coffee House
Aspire Coffee House is an awesome place for my health-conscious friends and keto enthusiasts. They have some good keto-friendly options on the menu, but I went for a regular Espresso, which was the definition of quality.
The clean, yet rustic atmosphere of the café is quite calming; also, the outdoor sitting area is nice and sunny during the day.
3. Coffee Religion
This coffee shop is exceptionally cozy and inviting. I’d say most of the credit goes to their friendly and accommodating staff that will go out of the way to make you feel at home. You get complimentary flavored water here, which was very refreshing by the way. I tried their Vietnamese-style iced coffee and later regretted getting the small size instead of the tall one.
4. Bad Owl Coffee
Being a relentless Potterhead, I never miss a chance to visit places that take after the grand mystical theme of Harry Potter. I heard that this quirky little coffee shop downtown serves a butter brew latte inspired by the famous Butterbeer from the series, so I had to try it. This drink is pretty sweet, which I don’t mind, but you may skip it if you don’t appreciate a sugar rush.
5. PublicUs
This coffee shop has a very fun and airy vibe, which reminds me of my college canteen. As a student, coffee was my breakfast on days when I had to get up around six or seven in the morning for an early class.
PublicUs is a cool breakfast spot with tons of top-notch bakery items, and their Cappuccino was spot-on. All in all, the service, flavor, and ambiance delivered in the coffee shop are excellent.
6. Gäbi Coffee & Bakery
Next on the list is a Korean coffee shop located in a nondescript area of Chinatown in Vegas. As a huge fan of K-pop and K-drama, how could I not visit this coffee shop?
Their signature Gäbi Coffee is tasteful, but I was more intrigued by the vast array of beautiful pastries and desserts they had to offer. I was able to satiate my sweet tooth and coffee cravings together.
7. The Writer’s Block
Books and coffee are an unbeatable duo, and I’d totally recommend this place if you’re infected by the grievous writer’s block. This is the coolest bookstore with an adorable coffee nook near the entrance; it’s shaped like a big bird cage, which nicely complements the overall aesthetics. I cannot get enough of the lovely artificial birds decorating the place and the adorable pet bunny they keep.
8. Makers & Finders Coffee
This coffee shop hidden amidst the arts district of Vegas is one neat spot for coffee and matcha drinks. I ordered a Cafe Con Leche, which tasted fancy and I noticed that it’s a popular point for brunch. Moreover, this place is pet-friendly so the time spent hanging out around here was extra special.
9. The Coffee Class
With a classy menu and interior, The Coffee Class lives up to its name. I browsed the coffee shop’s socials before stepping in so I was sold on trying their new pop tarts. Their croissants were awfully tempting too, and the drink I chose was the Salted Pretzel Mocha (loved it to the last sip).
10. Vesta Coffee Roasters
I’m always happy to support green businesses, and Vesta duly impressed me with its sustainably sourced green coffee; the robust flavor of their drinks speaks for itself. I loved how the place makes good use of natural light and the furnishings exude a sophisticated vibe. I tried their drip coffee and Macchiato, which were simply sensational.
I’m sure Vegas has many more worthwhile coffee shops to check out, and I’m always open to new recommendations. The ones on the list pleased me in terms of taste and ambience, so I hope you have a positive experience likewise.
